Acoustic Emission is a non-destructive examination method for assessing the condition of pressure vessels, piping, structures, storage tanks, Coker Drums, Refrigerated Tanks etc. Many Codes and standards exist for Acoustic Emission Testing. Gas Semi Trailers, rail road tank cars, Transformers, gas cylinders Trucks  Sphere's and more. This high Tech Method uses sensor which detect High Frequency signals resulting from defects ranging from cracks to corrosion, leaks and decohesion as well as many other damages.

 Acoustic Emission Testing By ITI SYSTEMS is usually carried out during controlled stressing, static monitoring or cool down testing which is temperature change dependent. Only active defects and deterioration produce acoustic emission, ITI SYSTEMS is the only Acoustic Emission Company world wide that has the experience to detect all defects ranging from fabrication to in-service and change in material.

Global Monitoring : One Acoustic Emission Sensor can detect a large distance making it ideal for global monitoring of large vessels and structures. Areas failing acceptance would be followed up by the NDT method recommended by the AE Level III.
 
Minor disturbance of Insulation: Small 3" Diamitor hole are cut in the isulation to allow surface axis for sensor mounting. All High temperature and freezing surfaces require ITI SYSTEMS special Waveguide  which distance the sensor from a harsh surface but still allow good signal detection.

On-Line Testing: Most Storage vessels on-line testing is possible, by either filling with product or introducing gas into the vapor space, controlling the temperature vacuum or other process.
 
Cost Reduction: The cost of AE testing is considerably in plant maintenance cost while increasing the information available about plant integrity. Plant downtime for inspection is minimized.

Rapid Inspection: The Actual Acoustic Emission Test occurs in hours sometimes less. No NDT Method can provide 100% volumetric inspection as dose AE.

Permanent Record AE Test: All Data is in digital format for a permanent record at ITI SYSTEMS for any future analysis.
